The Foreman - Merchant & Mills
Inspired by traditional workwear of the early fifties, the practical and hardwearing Foreman is an unlined utilitarian jacket made to take charge.
This is a multi-size paper pattern in an envelope, including sizes 36 - 46.
The Foreman features a boxy cut, 2 piece sleeves, a neat square collar, 2 hip pockets and one breast pocket. The jacket can be optionally top-stitched in contrasting thread. Strong cottons in twill or plain weaves such as denim will show off the topstitching details the best. Corduroy, moleskin or tweed will give a softer interpretation.
This pattern has been created by the inspiring British sewing supply company, Merchant & Mills.
Paper Sewing Pattern Includes:
- A white medium weight tissue copy of the pattern in sizes 36 to 46
- Two newsprint instruction pages including detailed illustrations and enlightening 'anatomical' photos of the inside of the garment (very helpful to determine how to put the garment together!)
- A paper pattern envelope featuring a color photo of the finished garment.
