Hot Patterns Weekender Breton Top
The classic Breton shirt worn by fishermen, Coco Chanel and Picasso. This pattern is a classic piece drafted for men and women. It is designed for medium weight knit fabrics (ideally with Breton stripes!).
The Weekender features a relaxed fit with a slightly dropped shoulder and a wide, rounded neckline. The men's version includes a slouchy, straight silhouette and full length slim sleeves. The women's version has very gentle shaping at the waist, a loose fit, and 3/4 length sleeves. The neckline of this pattern is finished with self fabric binding in an ingenious manner that finishes the shoulder seam allowances, prevents the shoulders from stretching out, and creates the classic clean finish on the outside of the tee.
This pattern has been created by HotPatterns who are a prolific husband and wife team based in Florida. It is part of their menswear collection called "Mr. H.P."
