Bringing Menswear to the Forefront
As sewers, makers and menswear enthusiasts, we want to work with quality designs, tools and materials that are specifically suited to our menswear projects. Our curated menswear sewing patterns, fabrics, notions, kits and tools make this possible! Thread Theory Designs was launched in 2012 by us (Morgan and Matt Meredith) with the aim to bring menswear to the forefront of the DIY fashion movement.
Creating the Foundation of a Good Wardrobe
In 2013 we launched the Parkland Collection – our first collection of four menswear patterns – in printed and PDF format. In 2014 we added the Alpine Collection to our pattern library and also launched our first special edition women’s pattern, the Camas Blouse.
Making Menswear Accessible to All
And now we have taken another big step further in our quest to encourage menswear making: In the Fall of 2015 we’ve launched a curated online shop featuring project kits, sewing tools, fabrics, tailoring materials, knitting supplies and literature perfectly suited to menswear making.
